Fred Fleisher was born in Pennsylvania and lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. After an enlistment in the army, he earned a BFA and BS from Penn State and an MFA from Queens College, CUNY. Currently his work is represented by Rockelmann &, Berlin, Germany and Stuart & Co., Chicago, IL. His work has also been included in a number of group exhibits and he has worked with a number of curators, both nationally and internationally. He is also an Assistant Professor of Visual Arts at SUNY, College at Old Westbury.
