DINTER FINE ART opened as an art gallery in October 2004, in the Chelsea art district of New York City, mounting more than 30 exhibitions over the next 5 years (see “www.dinterfineart.com/gallery” for exhibition history.) Since that time INGRID DINTER has been working as an independent curator, private art dealer, and in general operating at large as an arts professional.
Recent curatorial projects include the group exhibitions “Consider The Oyster” 2010, James Graham & Sons, New York; “Summer Salt” 2011, The Proposition, New York; and the artist film program titled “Bohemian Nights”, screened at the Gershwin Hotel in 2011 and 2012, as well as at The Emerald Tablet, San Francisco, December 2012, and at The IMC Lab + Gallery, New York, January 2013.
As well, DINTER FINE ART has maintained an online “project room” on it’s website since March 2004, featuring site-specific short works by artists, counting 58 projects to date.
INGRID DINTER is on the faculty of The School of Visual Arts, New York; and a member of the following professional organizations: ArTTable, The Leadership Organization for Professional Women in the Visual Arts; POWarts, Professional Organization of Women in the Arts; NADA, New Art Dealers Alliance.
